What is e way bill?

E-Way (Electronic Way) bill is a electronically generated document required to be carried by a person in charge of the conveyance carrying any consignment of goods to or from a registered person, the value of which exceeds Rs. 50,000. This is made compulsory by the government through Section 68 of GST Act. It ensures that goods being transported comply with the GST Law and is an effective tool to track movement of goods and check tax evasion. Registered person or the transporter may choose to generate and carry eway bill even if the value of goods is less than Rs 50,000/-


What is the minimum distance required for e way Bill?

No e-Way bill is required for movement of goods upto a distance of 20 Km from the place of business of consignor to a weighbridge for weighment or from the weighbridge back to the place of business of consignor, within the same State, subject to the condition that delivery challan is required for the same.






How to Download E-Way Bill via Invoice generation

Open Invoice for which you already generate E-Way Bill and you want to Download that E-Way Bill.

Go to "Provide GST/e-Way Bill details" and select "Yes"

You will see the "Download EWB" button in button bar.

Click on "Download EWB" and your E-Way Bill will be downloaded.
