Before starting the practice you may be working in your job or industry. There you have a big network, people know you, they trust you, they have worked with you. Such people can provide you clients.

You can go to various networking events like trade fairs and exhibitions and there you meet business owners. Such business owners may be looking for professionals to solve their business problems and they may enquire with you.

Also create good name in the professionals' group you are a part of, gain their trust. Always help the group. Be very professional with them. Fulfill your promises. And they will definitely start referring you to their clients for the work you are an expert of.

Initially, you will feel getting the first 20 clients is a herculean task but trust us it is not that difficult. In a matter of 3/4 months, you will have your set of the first 20 clients ready.
